For Paco Rabanne’s Pacollection, a series of fragrances each named for a different facet of the self, Barbara Berends built a multi-layered set with photographers Scheltens & Abbenes: the entire collection was displayed on glass shelves, each bottle resting above a transparent sachet revealing its key ingredients.
She later translated the concept into a full-scale installation for the press launch at Ricardo Bofill’s La Fábrica, outside Barcelona.
