For Kvadrat’s 2018 advertising campaign, Barbara Berends collaborated with Studio Bakker and photographers Scheltens & Abbenes to create a series of layered interior compositions in which the Danish brand’s textiles are not merely present but structural, curtains, drapes and woven panels forming the architecture of each space.
The camera always looks through rather than at, placing the viewer at a quiet remove from rooms that reward careful looking.
